Are you like me, and the least fancy person you know? Well, thats how i feel. And when I hear charcuterie- i immediately think “FANCY – oh heck now”
But call it a snack board and YA GIRL IS ALL IN. This is something I have been having fun with for when we have friends over for play dates, both big and small!
And heres the thing, a snack board is SO SIMPLE to make into something that has balance in the form of both macro AND micro nutrients. Nourishing, likely to make everyone happy….and it makes it a bit more simple for you to eat in alignment with your goals. Focus on a protein, a fat, a carb – add some color by way of fruits and veggies..VOILA, perfectly curated, perfectly balanced snackboard. and a SUPER simple approach to feeding your guests.

Heres my secret though- offer a snack board for a simple, finger food dinner but cook up a side of flat bread pizza. That way you can offer the kids something fun and tell me this…who doesnt love pizza?
PROTEIN:
- Deli meat (turkey, ham, prosciutto, salami, pepperoni)
- Nuts
- Jerky
FAT:
- Cheese
- Nuts
- Olives
- Oil for dipping
CARB:
- Crackers
- Fresh bread (sourdough or focaccia if youre fancy)
- Pretzels
- Dried fruit
MICRONUTRIENTS / COLOR/ VEGGIES/ FRUIT:
- Grapes
- Pepper slices
- Sliced cucumber
- Baby carrots
- Apple slices
- Figs
- Berries
- Kale Chips

INSTRUCTIONS:
Pick 3-4 from each category, throw it on a cutting board or large platter- EASY PEASY.
Eating in balance doesnt have to be complicated.
For good measure, throw in some homemade sourdough cookies too 😉
